Molly and Phen's Fall Emerson Resort & Spa Wedding

On Saturday I headed up to Mt. Tremper to photograph Molly and Phen's Emerson Resort & Spa Wedding.
Molly and Phen decided to have all the formal photos done at the beginning of the day so they could enjoy their events without any interruptions.

I set up a spot for them to see each other for the first time outside the lodge at Emerson Resort & Spa.   Before we knew it there were 30 people also there!  Molly nervously approached Phen as he anxiously awaited to see her.

I snuck them away

down to the river for some time alone

We then regathered everyone for the formal portraits

 and everyone was happy when they were done!

Everyone left to freshen up and begin the day's celebration.
Molly and Phen with their friends and family returned to the Catamount lodge for the signing of the Ketubah

With lots of witnesses,   

heartfelt wishes

and a beautiful blessing

before the bedeken

and the start of the outdoor ceremony of vows where Phen and his parents happily started down the aisle

to be joined by Molly,

 proudly presented by her parents

for a romantic wedding under the Chupah

As the time to break the glass drew near I knew a surprise was coming but it still didn't help me not to startle, as the glass was broken, a confetti canon shot out and a three piece brass band played.  You can see the smoke and confetti starting on the left

It truly was a joyous moment and a great way to start their married life together

As the cocktail hour was ending the sky turned the most amazing color, matching the wedding colors Molly&Phen had picked out so I had to have them come outside for a photo

 or two

Soon after it was time to head back to the tent

for Molly & Phen's first dance together.

Which was followed by the Horah,

toasts from their siblings

and parents

a dance with Molly and her father,

and Phen with his mom.

After dinner, Molly's brother's band kicked the party up a notch

with some guest appearances from Molly and

and her mom.

The band's last song of the night concluded with sparklers for all the quests to hold

After the late night meal there was a surprise for Molly and Phen.  All the guests gathered in front of a projection screen

to watch a video put together by their families

commemorating their donation to, USA Africa with a rendition of We R The World

by family and friends

Their awesome day ended with the DJ turning the Catamount lodge into a twilight room

to dance the night away in
