Hudson Valley Engagement Portraits

On Saturday the weather was spring like in Slate Hill as I headed up to Woodbourne in Sullivan County for an Engagement Session.  As I got there though the weather wasn't quite as springlike.  It was overcast but you could see the sun in the distance.

Erica and Peter had chosen the spot where Peter proposed as the spot for the engagement pictures.   Unfortunatly with the all the rain, on top of the snow that was there it made the road up there a muddy mess.

But Peter and Erica's father were able to bulldoze a road and put their Nissan's four wheel drive to the test!

We could still see the sun out in the distance and had hope that as we walked the last little bit to the top it would be out.

Hope is a funny thing, because all of a sudden we were in a snow squall! 

So much for an early spring day!  I was pretty excited to see the snow though!

We made it to the spot where Peter proposed,

at what feels like the top of the world

 
and the sun finally decided to join us!

As we made it over to the other side of the mountain we finally had that early spring day back.
