Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

This was our personal Christmas card this year. I thought I would share it with all of you. I had to bribe my son with a trip to the toy store for him to let me put him in this pose.










I think it was so worth it as it is one of my favorite scenes from the "A Christmas Story" movie. A must see if you have never seen it!

As a side note Rose Schaller Photo will be closed from today through the New Year.

I will then be away at a photo convention until Jan 7. I will check my emails during this time but will be slow getting back to everyone.

Normal business hours will resume again Jan 7, 2010 and meetings and portraits will begin again Jan 11, 2010!

West Point Wedding Photos

Saturday December 12 was Lisa and Kyle's winter wedding at West Point. It was a beautiful blue day with some traces of snow on the ground.

While Lisa and Kyle got ready in their suite

I took some images of the details that Lisa had put together perfectly






Soon it was time to head over to the Cadet Chapel bridal room to get ready


with one last quick look in the mirror and then it was time



to walk down the aisle escorted by her parents
to Kyle who was waiting for her




After one short reading it was time for Kyle and Lisa to exchange vows


their wedding bands



and their first kiss as husband and wife





After many group photos on the alter it was time for us to take some photos of the two of them together


and time to brave the cold for some outside portraits at the Cadet Chapel


and wedding photos at Trophy Point








Lisa and Kyle held their reception at the West Point Club's beautiful Hudson Room



while enjoying the beautiful sunset

A November Wedding in Pine Bush, NY

Saturday November 21st Laurie and Mike were married at the Pine Bush Methodist Church

I met Mike just a few minutes before their ceremony was to start. He arrived at the church a little before noon with his daughter who helped him attach his flower


Laurie arrived soon after and her father escorted her down the aisle



to Mike who was waiting for her along with their children


The service was over pretty quickly after just one short reading



then the vows and first kiss as husband and wife

We stopped after the service to take family photos of this now large family



and to take some time for photos of just the two of them together

Right before dinner was served at the Old Grist Mill one of Mike and Laurie's guest played the violin for them


so they could have a first dance together.


After dinner there was much more dancing


and I gather a noisy ride home to IN with lots of honking!
